He is the evaluation technician who coordinates the planning phases of the vineyard system from the earliest stages and manages all the production. Analyzes the pedoclimatic context of the area or the set of territorial aspects, including the composition of the subsoil, and climatic aspects of a wine-growing area; evaluates the cultivation alternatives and chooses the type of vine and the way the vine is trained. Once the suitability of the vine for the soil and climatic context has been verified, it makes the choice of the vine and its rootstock in order to respect adequate and optimal ripening conditions. At the end of the pre-planting phase, it prepares the “roots” going to condition the entire production process and the vegetative cycle of the vine, thus influencing the quality of the final product. Finally, he supervises the work of the farmer and provides advice on the subject of knowledge of the physical and structural characteristics of the territory and the land; carries out chemical, physical and biological analyzes of agri-food products and issues assessments on water resources.
